Yummy Apple Crumb squares
Monday, November 10th, 2008This is a recipe I made over the weekend for my family. They absolutly loved it. I even ate it for breakfast this morning. I hope you’ll enjoy it to.
Apple Crumb squares

2 cups Oats (uncooked)

1 1/2 flour

3/4 cup of margarine(melted)

1 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt(optional)

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 cup applesauce
-
1/2 cup chopped nuts(optional)
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 13×9 inch baking pan. Combine all ingredients except applesauce and nuts. Mix until crumbly. Reserve 1 cup mixture for topping. Press remaining mixture in the bottom of prepared pan. Bake for 15 min. Cool. Spread applesauce over partially baked crust. sprinkle with nuts. (i didnt use nuts) top with reserved 1 cup mixture. Bake 13-15 min or until golden brown. Cool in pan. Cut into two inch squares. Makes about 2 dozen. Voila!
